Mission

The Cat Sanctuary is the last refuge of many cats infected with FIV and FeLV, because due to the bad reputation of their disease, very few of them find an owner, and it often happens that even asymptomatic animals are euthanized due to their status.

The goal of our foundation is therefore to rescue and take in cats with leukosis and AIDS from private individuals and other organizations, so that after rehabilitation they can live a stress-free, carefree life in the Cat Sanctuary, while we provide them with professional care.

Since the life of cats with positive tests can be close to that of healthy animals with proper care, we do not support automatic euthanasia, and we want to make as much information as possible available to owners so that they can understand and keep these diseases at a level.

To this end, we continuously publish current information and studies related to FIV and FeLV diseases, and we also provide free counseling by phone or online to those who contact us.

Since the immune system of infected animals is fragile, stress and environmental changes have a bad effect on them, we do not try to adopt them at all costs, but I would like to find a family for our cats with a negative test, so that we can provide even more cats with leukosis or AIDS with a full life in the Cat Sanctuary.

However, dedication is not enough without the cooperation of the community, so we gratefully accept all support – we cannot succeed without you!
